My top tips for being a social media person

My ultimate blogging goal is to one day having the means to stop working for the cooperation and work for myself doing something i absolutely love. Here is a famous quote from Leonardo DiCaprio one of my greatest hollywood idol ‘If you can do what you do best and be happy, you’re further along in life than most people’   this quote really speaks to me and I can honestly say that i keep dreaming and one day by the grace of God I shall achieve this dreamI honestly though I have blogged for a while now and i wanted to share with you some of the tips and tricks I use to help me blog on a low-income. As many of you may know, I work part-time and study part-time and I now live away from home which is crazy hard and I have to budget all the time which sucks but that’s what i signed up for.Finding the perfect photographerLiving on a low-income and blogging is also pretty hard as well plus I am still pretty shy in front of the camera and because I don’t have an instagram boyfriend, i have to use a photographer and I have found the perfect one through a blogger friend of mine. My photographers name is Marianne. She an amazing photographer who is very patient, understands how i want my photos and is just an all round perfect friend and I have worked with her for a while now and i keep going back because I just miss her when I don’t use her for my photographer and i really hope she will continue to work with me through the years. One of the other reasons why I was lucky to have Marianne in my life is that she is charges very reasonable fees for the shoot and she is a girl boss just like me so I was and am very happy to continue to work with her. Plus she’s very talented. If you are looking to try out a photography and you’re based in London, drop her a message and I am sure she’ll be happy to do your shoot.Overcoming my shynessThe more I do these shoots the more I am getting use to being in front of the camera and as you may see from my photos, I don’t try to pose too much because I don’t feel confident enough yet to be too posey plus, I don’t think I am much of a poser anyways. Maybe in the future I may become a poser but for now, I am quirky and fun.Consistency is keyThis is one of the steps i fail badly at; I am not very consistent at all. I honestly try to write posts but sometimes, It just doesn’t feel right so I don’t post it. And sometimes, I haven’t had the time to take photos to go with the writeups and post. I am working very hard to stick to posting every Tuesday which works for me because i can spend the weekend going over my post and making sure it’s top notch before i share it. And now that uni is now on holiday, I have more time for shots and being a bit more social.Be true to who you areSoz probably going to repeat myself again. People on social media sometimes are not really who they seem to be. So i try not to do something that I don’t feel comfortable with, I only wear and shots in outfits that i feel comfortable with and whenever, i feel too exposed you will be able to see it by looking at the pictures and your followers will react very negatively to posts they feel isnt you. You may think that being comfortable is boring but trust me dearie, it has happened to me, I lost half of my followers when I stopped blogging for six months and started taking pics with au natural. Basically, stick to what our followers can easily recognise with and stick with it unless you become really big and of course by then you have the freedom to go crazy. For the upcoming social media influencers, stick to what sells, don’t change unless you personally need a change the go ahead and change it for your better self.Read your posts for errorsAgain, I am really terrible at this, I sometimes thing that i may be retarded or something must be wrong with my brain sometimes, because there has been so many times when i have written something and I think it makes sense and have done spelling checks then i post it and to my horror realise it makes absolutely no sense or that there are so many spelling and grammar errors. my excuse is that english is not my first language and I haven’t’ really got anyone who is willing to proofread my posts so that it sound more eloquent.Share, Share, ShareBecause social media is flooding with many influencers, it is getting harder and harder everyday to get traffic to my site. Instagram has change their algorithm which has made it harder for people like us who are stuck in the office for the better half of the day and even using proper hashtags doesn’t work anymore, you have to personally, comment and interact with other people on the instagram before you get likes and comments. Twitter is one of the best of them, because you can schedule your tweets using tools like Buffer and tag bloggers sharing tags and hashtags and that will drive traffic to your site while you work. You must also remember to talk to people and not just send countless tweets about your posts on your blog. What’s your top tips for being a social media person?
