Let’s Talk About Foundation For My Oily Sensitive Skin Gals

By Posted on 2 Comments 2 min read 1 views

For those of you who have been following or reading my blog for over a year now (yay me), you may already know that I have a very oily sensitive skin. When it comes to choosing makeup can be tough, scary and darn right tiring. Over the years these are some of the foundations I have really loved on my skin and it didn’t really break me out that much and not claiming to be a beauty guru  or anything but since I have taken more care of my skin I have less dark circles actually my hyper-pigmentation has improved so much so that I can leave the house and go across London on public transport without feeling self conscious. Here are some of the stuff that works for me and I hope  these will help some of you who might be struggling to find the right foundation for your skin type.

This is my all time holy grail foundation. It is very easy to use…one or two pump for my everyday look which is very natural; basically me covering up my acne scars and other skin imperfections I notice that day.
The second is an old favourite. It is very light consistency and once applied gives a natural coverage. I normally mix this up on the back f my hand and then apply it to my face. It is very easy to work with.
Sorry folks, this is a new discovering, I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it as soon as I discovered it. I stumbled upon this by accident and I won’t bore you with the details. All I can say is that I have been using this for three days now and I haven’t broken out yet and it looks so great on my skin and it is very hard to transfer at least on my fingers it doesn’t seem to transfer.
Do you love my choices? Would you recommend any other foundation(s) for oily skin?
I hope this post helps. Please don’t forget to leave your comment(s) below.

Fudge Clean Blonde

By Posted on 0 Comments 1 min read 3 views

In today’s post I wanted to talk about two products that I am wanting to use on my silver hair. I know you’ve probably had enough of the silver hair trend. With so much silverness out there I thought I would give it a go. After all it did look good on the many people’s heads I have seen. Anyway my attempt to go silver was a shortly lived one whichi wouldn’t go into now but I should be uploading a video on YouTube shortly with my silver hair fail ?
The two products I did however love using when I tried to go silver are from Fudge. These two products are good for anyone wanting to go silver/grey. I especially loved the conditioner which is so thick and has everything one would need after one has bleached and over leached ones hair.

After you have bleached your hair platinum blonde the conditioner helps to restore some of the lustre and life back into the hair. And if you leave it long enough on the platinum blonde hair it leaves a slight silver purply hint on the hair which looks very natural.
That’s  my thoughts on these products.
Have you tried the Fudge clean blonde products? Did you like using it?
Would you ever take the plunge and try the silver / grey hair trend? Or are so over hair colour craze?

My First Of Many Diptyque Candles

By Posted on 0 Comments 2 min read 2 views

On  a recent visit to Notting Hill, my friends and I came across the Diptyque store on Westbourne Grove.
After hearing so many bloggers raving about this Candle, I for one had to give it a try and see what the fuss what all about.

(New items for the Valentines Day – click here to see full range)

When we walked into the store, we were welcomed and surrounded by heavenly fragrances and were greeted by the most charming guide Adrian (he really knows his stuff), he was polite, patient and he listened to what I actually wanted rather than try and sell me something. At the end I didn’t even feel like I was buying a very expensive candle.

He suggested a few candles to try as a first time buyer and he let me decide and he waited patiently while i asked my friends which smell they preferred….at no point did I feel like an unwelcome guest (honestly, I think I stick out like a sore thumb when I visit some expensive stores…either the sales assistance is very very rude or something happens and I walk out without buying anything)

My visit to this store made me so very happy and this is by far the best shopping experience I have had in like forever.

And at the end after i had paid for my candle, my friends were also given some samples to test and the weirdness, funniest things happened my girlfriend tried on a the perfume sample she was given and loved it so much we walked back to the store and she bought it.

Because of the good first experience we had at this store, I will definitely be going back to buy more Diptyque goodies. Apart from candles and fragrances for men and women, Diptyque also have face & body care range.

My First Geek Box

By Posted on 0 Comments 2 min read 1 views

When i first came across this box, I was contemplating as usual if i should get it as I was already subscribed to three beauty boxes.. I know am crazzay but I love make-up and I guess like many of you, I liked trying new and expensive brands before I go about splurging on them. So when I stumbled upon my geek box, I was so very happy as I am an inner geek (what my close friends say to me most of the time) and most of their previous boxes, I loved and wanted to have but it was too late to have.

I was waiting for a box with something special in it, and I am not saying that all of them weren’t special… I finally decided to go for the December box themed the Battle Box. I ordered on 6th December 2015 an email was sent to be a day later informing me that the box was sold out but they will post it out to me when it comes back in stock – As you can imagine, I was completely bummed out and I had to wait about three weeks until I was sent one. To be honest, I had completely forgotten I had even ordered one until I was sent the tracking number 🙂 But I feel its worth the wait and I am actually going to be sharing some of the box contents with my friends and we’ll all have a geeky old time.
This box was filled with great contents, it contained a collectable Bruce Lee figurine, a Dragon Ball Z mug, an exclusive Street Fighter comic, Hadouken Black Belt Academy T-Shirt and my DC Comics Button Badges.

Apart from the delay in getting my box everything else was great and I am glad I finally decided to subscribe to this box.
What do you think of this box? Have you already subscribed to it?
